Floor Marking Tape For Industrial Facilities

!±8± Floor Marking Tape For Industrial Facilities

If you've ever visited a warehouse, a factory, or any other large facility with a lot of floor space, you may be wondering what all of those colored marks on the ground, the compartments and sections and paths, might mean. Given the precise nature of the lines and boxes created by them, which appear to conform exactly to the dimensions of certain containers, and in other cases, form an exact perimeter around certain devices, you would think that the factory could fall into utter disorder if those markings did not exist. And you would be right - floor marking tape is one of a number of essential fundamentals in an industrial area that is used to maintain order and safety.

The primary way that floor marking tape achieves its purpose is by acting as a series of boundaries that chart out where people and things are supposed to go, or not go. It's the same principle as pavement lines and signs on a parking lot, with the arrows and lanes functioning to point cars in the proper direction, and telling them where to park. In like manner, the yellow marking lines in an industrial facility divide various sections, create aisles and pathways for human and mechanical traffic, and heighten the visibility of objects that ought to capture the attention of individuals, whether it is because they are dangerous or because they are somehow important to smooth facility operations. Tape that is colored yellow, the color of caution, is most commonly used for this purpose. White colored tape is also used extensively, to mark the locations of everyday equipment, like pallets, racks, and machines that are not especially likely to cause loss of life and limb.

Floor marking tape also improves the safety conditions of the average industrial facility by making it clear where certain dangerous things, such as electrical grids and hazardous material storage, are located. Anyone who has no business tampering with the power lines, or the often toxic chemicals that a factory may have to work with, should know upon seeing the appropriately colored floor tape that they ought to stay away from these areas, and be careful when they are passing through, especially when operating heavy equipment. Conversely, those assigned to these areas, for maintenance or operations, will be able to locate them with relative ease. The colors used to mark these locations are red and orange, though orange is mainly for equipment, and red acts more for general prohibitive or restrictive purposes. Blue is another color that is also used as a warning, though it pertains directly to machinery that needs to be repaired. After all, a mechanism that is malfunctioning could be trouble even if the machine itself is technically not deadly.

Lastly, floor marking tape makes objects like stairs and doors, points of access and exit to and from the facility, more easily seen. Most doorways in these places have strips of floor tape across them, to apprise all who pass by that there is a door there. It may seem that this tape function is unnecessary, but the often uneven lighting on an industrial floor, and the fact of tall, heavy objects everywhere that may impede vision, make proper floor marking an important responsibility.

The 2011-2016 World Outlook for Industrial/technical Cleaners

This econometric study covers the world outlook for industrial/technical cleaners across more than 200 countries. For each year reported, estimates are given for the latent demand, or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.), for the country in question (in millions of U.S. dollars), the percent share the country is of the region and of the globe. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a country vis-a-vis others. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each country and across countries, latent demand estimates are created. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved.

This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the 230 countries of the world). This study gives, however, my estimates for the worldwide latent demand, or the P.I.E. for industrial/technical cleaners. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided across the world's regional and national markets. For each country, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time (positive or negative growth). In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on international strategic planning at graduate schools of business.
